For thirty years the Today’s Challenge Tomorrow’s Reward Conference has provided subcontractors, DBE firms, and prime contractors with invaluable information and networking opportunities.

TCTR 30 will be on February 10 and February 11, 2020. The  Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is proud to continue to participate and support this event.

Presentations and workshops will include estimating and bidding, project management, erosion control, advanced financing, social media marketing, and much more.

TCTR 30 focuses on providing educational and skill building workshops, best practices, and networking opportunities to statewide DBE firms and contractors wanting to do business with IDOT.

The overall goal is to help advance the firm’s skill set and knowledge to increase their competitiveness and opportunities for work on federally funded highway contracts.

This event will be at Crowne Plaza Springfield Convention Center (3000 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62703).

On February 10 (3:00PM to 4:15 PM) Gabriela Garcia – Director U.S. DOT Great Lakes Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center at IHCC and Keli Krueger-Huhra – Director of the Illinois PTAC of Central Illinois will present on “U.S. DOT Loan & Bonding Program/PTAC).

The first part of this panel will discuss the Bonding Education Program and access to capital. Participants will learn information regarding the eligibility process, documentation requirements and how to apply for both programs.

Those who are interested in seeking working capital and bonding on federally funded infrastructure/ transportation-related projects are encouraged to attend this session.

The second part will provide information on the Procurement Technical Assistance Center program along with other programs that are available through the Illinois Small Business Development Center Network, created by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

Exhibitor Fair and Networking Event

The Exhibitor Fair takes place concurrently with the Networking Event in the Plaza Ballroom (Monday February 10th, 6pm-8pm)

While attendees mingle, partake in hors d’oevres, and make connections with other firms, they can browse the latest offerings in the Highway Construction industry. 

From hands-on interactive displays to new connections with DBEs and Prime contractors, the event offers attendees multiple avenues to help grow their business.
