Since its inception in 1990, IHCC has been a key driver of the success of thousands of businesses by providing entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need to grow and succeed. Despite its mission to focus on helping the Latino-, women-, veteran-, and minority-owned businesses community, the Chamber is also fully committed to welcoming and assisting all businesses regardless of race, gender, religion, or ethnic background.

The numbers speak for themselves: In its 2024 Annual Report, IHCC reported that it:
• Helped businesses obtain more than $26 million in the form of grants, loans, and bonding;
• Assisted 4,231 businesses; 
• Hosted 113 training events;
• Provided 4,710 hours of business counseling.

Additionally, its networking events attracted over 6,057 attendees, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of economic collaboration.

Despite these successes, one of the main challenges currently facing IHCC is the potential budget cuts on the federal level that provide crucial grant funding. These reductions threaten the Chamber's ability to sustain its programs and support the businesses that rely on its resources and business advisors.

Investing in IHCC is an investment in economic equity, tax revenue for the state, job creation, and the future prosperity of Illinois.

I kindly urge you to advocate for and secure funding to empower our business community, especially the small business community.
