The LTNtech Founders Incubator is a first-of-its-kind partnership between IHCC and 1871. The mission of the incubator is to create pathways for Latinx and underrepresented entrepreneurs to break into and contribute to the tech and innovation economy while scaling their businesses.

LTNtech Incubator startups participate in 1871’s rigorous PYROS core curriculum that features three different stages: Explore, Build, and Launch. In addition, incubator companies benefit from one-on-one coaching with our network of Latin mentors and alumni, curated weekly sessions dedicated to the unique experience of being a Latin tech startup founder, and access to our network of connections to resources.

The LTNtech program comes at no cost to first-time and current 1871 members!
If you would like to participate as a member or a mentor/resource, please submit an interest form below.

Why Participate?

Participants in the LTNtech Incubator are fully immersed in the IHCC and 1871 tech ecosystem. During the course of the program, startup founders have access to:

  • 1871 member benefits

  • Tailored educational sessions and workshops to help their business gain traction

  • IHCC & 1871 network of business contacts, mentors, and investors

  • Exclusive networking events and extensive public exposure

Program Structure:

  • Founders participate in a 12-14 week cohort with a group of their peers.
  • Founders meet weekly as a cohort in addition to attending workshops and deep-dive sessions in their 1871 PYROS workshops.

Requirements:

The incubator is designed for companies building new and innovative technology. We are looking for companies that are leveraging new ideas and innovations to solve a unique problem and, in some cases, scale with funding.

  • At least one co-founder must identify as Latino/a/x

  • Your overall company does not need to be exclusively in the tech industry, but the product or service must leverage an innovation in technology.

  • At least one co-founder must commit to completing the full program, which meets on a weekly basis (hybrid).

Judging Criteria:

  • IDEA: Innovative solution to a unique problem.

  • TEAM: Whether it’s just you or you have a team, have applicable skill sets and backgrounds to the problem you’re trying to solve.

  • MARKET SIZE: Market opportunity and revenue potential. Be ready to prove demand with stories, quotes, and/or data.

  • TRACTION: Demonstrated commitment to building a company and/or measurable progress.

  • ATTITUDE: Openness to growth and interest in collaborating with peers. Someone who is willing to ask for help and seek resources.
