In her role, Jacqueline handles all facets of acquiring and managing grants. Her responsibilities include researching potential funding sources, overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, and submitting reports to funders in a timely manner. Jacqueline acts as a crucial liaison between the organization and its funders, ensuring the effective use of secured financial resources.

Before her current role, she provided essential support to IHCC’s President/CEO, Chief of Staff, Office Manager, and Grants Manager. Jacqueline’s adaptability and resourcefulness make her an invaluable asset in coordinating calendars, organizing office resources, and assisting with grant management for IHCC’s various programs.

Jacqueline’s professional journey began with the Reno court system in Nevada, where she supervised and trained court clerks on policies and procedures. Her commitment to confidentiality and precision in minute-taking has earned her the role of minute-taker for important board and confidential meetings at IHCC.

A proud native of Chicago, Jacqueline grew up in a family-owned business. Her parents, originally from Jalisco, Mexico, run a thriving Mexican restaurant in Reno, Nevada. This background instills in her a deep understanding of and commitment to IHCC’s mission and vision. With a degree in Human Resources Management, Jacqueline is well-versed in organizational ethics, onboarding practices, training and development protocols.
