Ivette Sandoval is the bilingual Communications Specialist, and she is responsible for the development and implementation of the IHCC’s marketing and communications efforts. Since 2022, her role as a communications specialist has helped set and guide strategy for all communications, including social media, keeping the website up to date, doing media outreach, and writing communications materials that articulate IHCC’s mission. She is a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduate with a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric (creative writing option) and a minor in advertising. A former educational publishing editor and journalist for over 10 years, she brings numerous years of experience in communications. Her hobbies include photography, re-creating restaurant-quality recipes, and reading books that were turned into movies.
