Hortensia has 20 plus years of broad, hands-on experience in market research and marketing consulting in the US and internationally. She has helped multiple Fortune 500 companies such as Unilever, Corona, Red Bull, PepsiCo, Wrigley’s, Georgia Pacific, etc. better know their consumers and promote their products. As an associate market insights manager at MillerCoors, she was responsible for identifying key insights and turning data nuances into actionable ideas for advertising and marketing strategies. She influenced internal organizations to better understand and address the needs of multicultural consumers. She led market sizing, segmentation, and marketing training workshops on the diverse, LGBT and Boomer population. Hortensia is keen on coaching and developing, helping entrepreneurs and her community. In her current role at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, she and her team provide one-on-one counseling to help small businesses develop recovery and resiliency plans and key marketing strategies in response to the new challenges and opportunities that have emerged after the pandemic. Outside of work, Hortensia enjoys volunteering to promote Hispanic youth education; she has conducted Personal Brand Development workshops to aid high school students with their college applications. She is a graduate of I.T.E.S.M. in Monterrey Mexico, her hometown. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a specialization in Marketing.
