The Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC) has launched the Small Business Promotion Assistance Program.

Intended for independent professionals and Latino businesses –with less than ten employees and affected by the Covid-19- economic crisis. This program will give them, completely in Spanish and at no charge, access to free digital marketing, logo design, and printed promotional pieces.

By nature, we Latinos are entrepreneurs, and that trait has made us the most entrepreneurial minority in the United States. Unfortunately there is also a harsh reality, our community’s businesses are the ones that grow the least and fail the most due to lack of investment in the medium term, according to the “State of Latino Entrepreneurship” 2020 Research Report from Stanford University.

Access to capital is critical in the growth phase of a business. It is essential to take opportunities, minimize operating costs, maximize profits and invest in better marketing.

The reality is that Hispanic businesses are the minority with the highest number of applications rejected in the financial marketplace, and even more so now after a pandemic year.

The smaller Hispanic-owned businesses in Illinois need resources and technical assistance to address the crisis and return to growth. So, IHCC wants to ensure they have access to them.

Are you a business owner with little time available, no experience, and no resources to maintain your social networks? Don’t worry! IHCC wants, can, and will help you!

IHCC’s experts specialize in working closely with small businesses to create unique pieces and social media content that attract and convert more clients without charging anything for the service.

IHCC’s team of professionals will help you, completely free of charge, to launch your online presence by assisting with the creation, planning, and management of three of the most important digital tools in business –Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

The IHCC is investing resources in supporting small businesses in our community. We know that now is when they need it most,” said Jaime di Paulo, IHCC President & CEO. “Our social commitment for 2021 is focused on helping smaller businesses weather the downturn.”

What will IHCC consultants specifically do for you?

  • Redesign or design your business logo.
  • Help you improve your social media content.
  • Teach you how to use the internet as a new sales channel.
  • Integrate WhatsApp as a new “salesperson” for your business.
  • Design your flyers, menus, promotional posters, and even your business card in a more professional way and according to a specific brand strategy for each business.

During a pandemic, they need the most to boost their sales and experiment in digital channels to attract new customers. But many Hispanic small business owners in Chicago are focused on survival, and they don’t have the time or capital to access professional consulting,” explained di Paulo.

The Small Business Promotion Assistance Program’s mission is to help entrepreneurs focus on the activities where their business needs them most. For that, it provides them with a group of external professionals in charge of elaborate useful content pieces that instantly attract the attention of their target audience.
