The IHCC hit the streets to help restaurants apply for RRF

The U.S. Small Business Administration will only process applications from a group of businesses that includes Latino restaurant owners for 21-days.

This period will run from May 3 to May 24. It is designed to give Latino restaurant owners the best opportunity to receive the RRF grant.

On May 3, the IHCC team visited restaurants in Brighton Park with Commissioner Alma E. Anaya, the office of State Representative Aarón M. Ortíz, and The Southwest Collective.

We also walked in Pilsen with Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC).

We checked if small local restaurants needed support to apply for the RRF.

This program will give them the financial assistance they need to overcome the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On May 1, we visited restaurants at Little Village, Berwyn, Back of The Yards and Pilsen.
