Entrepreneurs are the heroes of this new era in which we live. They work passionately to make the world a better place.

What phone or laptop are you using now to read this article? No matter the brand, it was created by an entrepreneur.

What running shoes do you wear every morning to jog, be healthy, and do your best? No matter the brand, they were designed by an entrepreneur.

Founders of companies go beyond the limits, they follow their hearts, listen to their intuitions, pay attention to the signals they receive from the market, and know when to ask for help.

As a result, they have an authentic, open mind, that allows them to innovate. All entrepreneurs know that they cannot do it by themselves and that they need to play as a team.

At Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC), we are convinced that creating opportunities and promoting new businesses is the most efficient way to improve the quality of life for our community. We are one of the few Hispanic organizations in the country that dedicates most of its efforts and resources to create opportunities for economic development, helping small business owners accomplish their dreams.

Every new job that is generated, every business that opens its doors, in Chicago or other cities in Illinois, gives us a wonderful sense of satisfaction for what we do.

All of us Hispanics are obligated to start thinking this way.

Our intuitions are no different from those of other successful entrepreneurs. Out loud or in silence, that personal vocation to give more, grow more and be relevant in this world, is calling us as a community.

Education is the best tool we can receive. But encouraging ourselves to start a business is a way to get closer to what inspires us –to put into practice those ideas that will make us feel free.

It’s pointless to start a business without passion. You must have the courage to give up certain ideas and work for what a consumer segment really needs.

All over the state of Illinois, we have a generation of Hispanics who are called to innovate, revolutionize and continue changing the world, with a meaning and a purpose.

At the IHCC, our doors are always open. We want to be part of your team. If you are Hispanic, have a business idea or want to give your company a boost, our mission is to help you.

Maybe you just need to email or call us, to start changing your life and, who knows, contribute to drive positive change for this world.
