SBDC Day is a national, collective proclamation of the impact America’s Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) have on the success of our nation’s dreamers, innovators, and doers – America’s small businesses. During SBDC Day, National Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) Day recognizes the thousands of SBDCs across the country supporting entrepreneurs in the pursuit of small business ownership.

SBDC Day unites the nearly 1,000 SBDC centers across the country and the hundreds of thousands of clients they serve by sharing, in real-time, the success stories and notable impacts SBDCs collectively have on the small business community at large. This special day will be celebrated with social media campaigns, public relations initiatives, and other online events. The seventh annual SBDC Day will occur on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Created in 1976, SBDCs provide innovative resources and tools that contribute to the success of start-ups and small businesses.

The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce offers no-cost advising and is dedicated to helping new entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership. It also helps existing businesses access networks and resources to grow their business and achieve long-term economic growth.

Across the country on National SBCD Day, events and conferences present platforms designed to demonstrate the impact of SBDCs. From financial and business planning to technology, security, and marketing, SBDCs contribute to the overall success of small businesses.

Across the United States, Small Business Development Centers assist current and prospective small business owners. There’s at least one in every state, the District of Columbia, and its territories. They provide a network of locations throughout the country that provide assistance in a wide variety of expertise.

SBDCs aren’t limited to new small businesses either. If a small business is looking to expand, the SBDC offers assistance as well.
