Maria Silvia Paz

Maria Silvia Paz is the SBA Community Navigator Program Business Advisor at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Maria has over 20 years of professional business experience in the financial services industry. Working in large banks and various roles in the Chicago land area allowed her to work with business customers firsthand.

Working as a CRA lending consultant in the community allowed her to understand lending guidelines and advise her customers better. Most recently, in a leadership position as an Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager, Maria was able to share with her team her knowledge and passion for helping customers in a banking environment. She is committed to working with small business owners within the communities that we serve to provide them with resources that are available for small businesses to help them expand their business.

Maria also enjoys connecting with other like-minded women who have a growth mindset. She is part of not only one but two women’s groups in the US and Mexico, which support each other and learn from each other to make their lives joyful and happier. Her hobbies include reading books, listening to music, traveling, and enjoying great food.
