Hilda Alvarez Rodriguez
USDOT Great Lakes Region SBTRC Project Coordinator
Hilda Alvarez Rodriguez currently serves as the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Great Lakes Region Project Coordinator of the Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC).
Her role is managing the Bonding Education Program and Women and Girls in Transportation Initiative while assisting the program director with the program’s day-to-day and administrative operations. In addition, she assists with counseling and acquiring the necessary documentation from clients in order to prepare documents pertaining to capacity building, bond packaging, loan packaging and procurement assistance.
Hilda received her undergraduate degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Dominican University, with a minor in Interfaith Studies. In college, she was the president of Model United Nations and held many leadership positions in the areas of advising and first-year experience. She is passionate about assisting and encouraging others to succeed and looks forward to meeting new people and making connections.
Hilda’s hobbies include reading, going to the movies, and exploring new restaurants in the city.
