Serving as an integral member of the IHCC team, the executive assistant will provide administrative support to the President and CEO of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC) at an executive level. IHCC is the largest and most influential Hispanic chamber in the Midwest. Our team is passionate about creating meaningful change, and we are seeking a highly organized, self-starter, independent, passionate, and motivated professional. This individual must be able to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal communication. This individual will report directly to the Chief of Staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support answering phone calls.
● Be the point of contact for all communications with the CEO.
● Make travel arrangements.
● Maintain the schedule and arrange meetings.
● Provide briefings in a timely manner.
● Compile expense reports.
● Maintain files and records.
● Handle memos, reports, invoices, and related documents, including sensitive information.
● Office duties such as sourcing office supplies and handling the filing system.
● Handle and redistribute emails.
● Provide complete administrative support.

Skills Requirements

● Must have at least 3 years of experience as an administrative, executive assistant, or related.
● Must be able to navigate Word and Excel programs.
● Must have excellent time management skills.
● Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
● Must have solid networking skills.
● Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
● Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
● Must have strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
● Must be able to multi-task and be a team player.
● Must have excellent interpersonal skills.


● Must be fluent in English (advanced) and Spanish (intermediate).
Must have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, English, business administration, or related fields. A high school degree or GED is acceptable, depending on work experience.
● Must have strong knowledge of Word and Excel. Familiarity with Google Office is preferred.
● Must have a valid driver’s license, have the ability to work weekends and travel, and be authorized to work in the U.S

Salary range: $56,000-$58,000 annually, depending on experience.
